Our original Safari "PH" has evolved over the years into a family of Safari "PH"s, due in large part to our hunting customers and PH's sharing their unique and specific footwear needs. First came the request for a super quiet version of the Safari "PH". Then for an all leather model; then a shorter, lighter weight version; then for a more rugged model with an aggressive sole for steep mountainous terrain; then for an "armored" model for protection from thorns; and recently a request for a flat, wedge sole version from an Okavango Delta professional hunter who walks in heavy sand, day in and day out. Successful designs are often triggered by hunters and professional hunters. We listen to your requests and respond to them. That is why Russell offers a dozen different configurations of the "original" Safari "PH" today. |
